God of Alcohol

God of Alcohol, this project was for the Dominance War V contest.  It was my first dominance war where I felt like I almost had a glimmer of hope of maybe placing.  Also it happened to be the last Dominance War ever.

So the idea is to create a current day game character model which is a god that puts an end to the Dominance War.  I chose the God of Alcohol as my concept, a peaceful way to end this conflict through partying and good times.

So here is a bunch of concepts that I was working with.  A chubby dude based on my friend, a huge bruiser, and a alchemist.

Alchemy guy, looks cool and stuff but doesn’t really fit the concept of the God of Alcohol for me.

I actually ended up getting into a serious issue with retopo because the tools I was using weren’t nearly as advanced as the ones current day, (no zremesher) turns out there was a problem with vert order at one point and kinda blew up my mesh which stopped progress for about a day trying to figure out what happened.

So I didn’t win but I learned a whole lot and there were a ton of techniques that I developed while working on it.
